The single mode fiber cables are optical fibers with a small core (2-9 microns that supports one mode), which are most commonly used for transmitting data over long distances. And they have a higher bandwidth than multi mode cables to deliver up to twice the throughput. Most single mode fiber cables are color-coded yellow.
